Baby Boy

Here is the crib for baby #2. Avery's crib was recalled so we were able to pick out a new crib. Kinda worked out great b/c we ended up with a nicer crib & a color that better fits a boy. This one converts to a toddler and then full size bed. I plan to work on the room after the holiday's & will post more pics then.
Avery is talking about her baby brother a lot these days. The cutest thing was the other day she grabbed Philip's hands and said, "lets pray Daddy... thank you Jesus for the baby in mommy's tummy." She often touches my tummy & I push my tummy out real fast to make her think she is feeling the baby kick. She laughs and tells me she felt the baby kick. I know she doesn't have the patience to wait for a real kick:)
I feel like I am really getting anxious to meet this little man. I know he will be here soon enough, so for now I am cherishing my one on one time with Avery!

I Love Christmas!

what Avery thought to do when I got the stockings out :)

Helping decorate her tree

Christmas is my favorite holiday. It is fun now that Avery is at the age that she knows what is going on and can enjoy it with us. She talks about baby Jesus & how Christmas is Jesus' birthday. When I first told her who's birthday we celebrate on Christmas she told me she wanted to eat cake. So I thought that would be a good idea for us to eat cupcakes on Christmas to celebrate.
We have been talking up Santa Claus.... and using the "if your nice Santa will bring you presents"-- works sometimes :) I ask Avery what she wants Santa to bring her and she says "toys", I say what kind of toys?- she says- "presents" - not quite getting that she can be specific here!
We got our tree up the week after Thanksgiving & Avery has her own little tree she decorated with lights and her decorations in her room. She has a snoopy ornament, woodstock, and a lightening Mcqueen ornament hung right now. The balls we bought for the tree have all been taken off & played with. She says- "you want to play catch?"- wrong kind of ball Ave!
We are looking forward to taking her to Santa's Village this year and the Trail of Lights in Austin.

Happy (Late) Thanksgiving!

We have so much to be thankful for this year. I feel so very blessed with friends, family, a wonderful husband, adorable Avery, and a baby boy on the way, being able to stay home with my babies, good health, a home, Philip's job stability... I could go on and on. Our family is blessed.

We had a great time in Austin over Thanksgiving. We got to spend the week there. By Friday Avery was telling us she was "ready to go back to Dallas." She wanted to "read her books, see her babies." A week is a long time for our homebody little girl. She did great though with all the moving around from different houses & had fun playing with her cousins. We head back for Christmas... and will be staying put until after the baby is here!
