12.5 inches of snow!!

The snow we got was absolutely beautiful! I loved watching it snow all day and waking up to 12 inches of snow! We got out Friday morning to "play" in it and let Avery run around. We had already planned a trip to Austin Friday morning for Kelly's birthday, but we stuck around for the morning so we could enjoy some time in it.

We had a wonderful time in Austin with our family. I felt like it was the first relaxing trip there in a while. We usually run back and forth so much between our families homes that we never seem to just stay in one place and relax! We had dinner Friday night with my parents and Philip's parents. Saturday I took Avery to Kelly's princess party and then went to lunch and to see, Valentines Day, with Betsy and Emily. Emily babysat Saturday night for us so Philip and I could enjoy a nice dinner. I didn't realize how much they now have in the Domain. In the middle of dinner I got a text from Emily saying "wheres rasha?" I died laughing because Avery now sleeps with Chance and calls him "rasha" when its bedtime. I think I got the text a little late because Emily had no idea what she was talking about, but said Avery just fell asleep so didn't worry about it. Silly Ave.

The weather was gorgeous Sunday so we took a walk in the neighborhood before heading out. Unfortunatley all the snow was melted when we got home.

It was a good weekend!

Dress up!

I love this phase that Avery has been in the past several months. It seems like right around the time she turned 3 she entered into this world of princesses and fairies. She has a chest full of dress up clothes, fairy wings, shoes, crowns, and necklaces. Everyday she dresses up and either pretends to be one of the princesses or a fairy. Right now, she is very into Tinkerbell (just got Tinkerbell and the Lost Treasure, such cute movies). Around Christmas time it was Cinderella, then sleeping beauty... and before that Ariel. It's cute to see her all dressed up and the ways she uses her imagination to play. Today Drew was Terrance and I was Silvermist. Philip is usually Prince Eric, and she likes for them to get married and dance. Such a sweet phase! Sometimes I wish I could just freeze time...

Walking!!

Drew is such the little walker now and so proud of himself.

Poor little guy has had an ear infection in both ears for 2 weeks now. I took him to the doctor last Monday because he had had lots of fever and congestion. (so blessed to have made it 10 months with this being his first fever) Turned out he had bad ear infections in both ears. :( We started antibiotics, but this last weekend he seemed to get worse. (breathing sounded wierd to me) So, I took him back to the doctor Monday morning to find out he was wheezing (has RSV), and his ears were worse. Poor poor baby! He wasn't even acting all that bad, just not sleeping good. So we have started a new round of antibiotics and breathing treatments every 4-6 hours. Yesterday I took him back to the doctor to check his ears and breathing and everything sounded/looked to be improving. We'll continue meds and treatments this week and head back to dr. next week.
